The bid on Parcel 3 at the sale on the 24th day of April, 2021, will remain open for ten (10) days for upset bids which will end on May 4, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. An upset bid must be in an amount that increases the existing bid by five percent (5%) and a certified check made payable to the Bailey and Thomas Trust Account in the amount of five percent (5%) of the upset bid must be delivered to the office of Bailey & Thomas located at 3069 Trenwest Drive, Suite 100, Winston-Salem, North Carolina by 4:00 p.m. on the ending date. At the time of an upset bid, the upset bid period is extended to an additional ten (10) days from the date of the existing upset bid. At the time when there is an upset bid and ten (10) days expire thereafter without an upset bid in that period, then that bidder will be awarded a contract for the purchase of the property. If the final day of any ten day period ends on Saturday or Sunday, the upset bid period will end on the following Monday at 4:00 p.m. Federal holidays are not counted in the ten day period. Bids will be taken 9am – 4pm, Monday through Friday. Bids will be taken during the hours of noon and 1:30pm by appointment only.
